the four fastest animals in air, ground, water

the fastest bird is the peregrine falcon. the peregrine falcon is the fastest bird and animal in the planet, the peregrine uses gravity and altitude to gain speed.

the fastest land animal is the cheetah, the cheetah is the fastest ground animal that relies on thrust. the cheetah gets its thrust from its powerful rear legs.

the black marlin is the fastest water animal, the black marlin is also the thrust type of animal and mostly relies on its shape to zoom through the water.

My 2017 Blog

Rendered Image
In this blog I will be uploading my science learning and creations on other sites E.G Tinker cad.
I mostly post about my creations  and science doings.
Most of my free time in school I will make creations and post them here.E.g like this one
(This is for my homework)

Bouncing balls

Bouncing Balls

Aim:
I want to find out if there is a relationship between how high a ball is dropped from and how high it bounces up.

Hypothesis:
I predict that the higher the ball is dropped from, the higher it bounces.
and the surface texture may change the height of the bounce.
Method:
The equipment that I will need is:

  • Bouncy ball
  • Ruler
  • Stand with boss head and clamp

  1. Attach the clamp to the stand.
  2. Clamp the ruler onto the stand so that the zero mark is on the ground.
  3. Hold the bottom of the ball on 50cm and drop.
  4. Record the height of the bounce measuring the bottom of the ball.
  5. Repeat the experiment twice more and record the average measurement.
  6. Repeat the whole experiment using heights of 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 100cm

Variables:

Independent (changing) Variable = The height of the drop
Dependent (measured) Variable = The height of the bounce

    Results:

    Concrete
    Height of Drop
    Height of Bounce
    50cm
    12cm
    60cm

    70cm

    80cm

    90cm
    50-45-cm
    100cm
    60-50cm

dopping the ball on the carpet makes it bounce lower
and on concrete it bounce higher
    Why?
the carpet is soft and does not eject the tension like rubber and because carpet sinks and does not push the ball harder it will obviously not bounce high
concrete does not move because of the weight of the ball the ball is so light and when the ball drops the tension squeezes on the ball and the concrete does no absorb any tension and when the ball stops the tension releases and springs the ball higher.

    Forgery

Forgery is the copying of another persons writing or signature.
criminals use it for signing cheques falsely.

AIM: to figure out which pen is used.
    To write a forgery letter.
Hypothesis: we will know which pen was used

Beaker filter paper pen sellotape water

    Method
1 put a dot on the filter paper 2 cm up.
2.put 50 ml of water in the beaker.
3.put the paper in the water and leave 5 minutes.
4.attach a piece of the letter to the paper with sellotape.
5.place the paper in the 50 ml of water
    2.compare the two ink marks.

    Forensic Science

1.What is the definition of forensic science.
    Toxicology
A method used in investigations to solve mysteries.

    Drawing graphs in science.

    Drawing graphs in science.

    Rules

    1. Always use a pencil.
    2. use a ruler if drawing a line graph.
3 Choose scales so that the graphs takes up at least 80% of the paper.
    4. Label both axis with a description of what you are missing.
    5. Give your graph a title.
    6. Never rule back to zero.

    1. Outline 2 features of a good graph?
    Straight line , Title.

    2. Suggest why graphs should be drawn in pencil?
    To get mistakes rubbed off.

    3. What needs to be given a title on graph?
The discussion or what it is.

The Feet Can Measure The Height

The bones of the feet can tell a lot about a person. What do feet reveal about a person's height? Forensic anthropologists team up with law enforcers to help solve crimes.
Bones of the feet can reveal an interesting fact about an individual. Let's combine math with forensics to see how.

1.Have the students in your group remove their shoes and measure their height.
2.Measure the length of the adult's left foot from the wall to the tip of the big toe.
3.Examine the numbers. Do you see a pattern?
4.Divide the length of each person's left foot by his/her height.
Multiply the quotient by 100. What do you get? You may also want to use the calculator on a computer for this activity
5.Measure the length of the adults left foot from the wall to the tip of the big toe.
